We visited a small village in Thüring area.
The village sceenery in Neckeroda:
Traditional house in the village. |
From the year 1285 is the oldest written document, where the village is mentioned. |
In 1999 the club Thüringer Färbedorf Neckeroda was founded. |
The club set itself a goal to maintain the historical tradition... |
...of textile dyeing with suitable dye plants. |
The highlight of the club life is every year in August on the last Saturday held dyer and crafts festival. |
In the festival the dyers and dyers from all over Germany and in part from the rest of Europe show their craftsmanship. |
During this festival also the lovingly restored courtyards are open to visitors. |
Also other craftsmen demonstrate their skills: potters, basket makers... |
On our visit to the village... |
...we were also shown... |
...the village church... |
...and the small cemetery around it. |
The Protestant village church has a late Gothic tower... |
... but the church core is Romanesque. |
In the cemetery is a grave for the memory of three unknown soldiers who were there in the end of the war in 1945. |
In the village sceenry there is different kind of animals. More cat pictures: press here. |
Inside the church. |
Zoom-in the church altar. |
The church textile. |
Decorations in the church. |
The church bench. |
The altar in the front of the church. |
Still watching us even thought, we spend commendably time in the church. |
The village project. More picture: press here. |
In the village they are renovating one of the old houses. |
The thought behind the renovation is... |
...that they would get a house... |
... for exhibitions... |
...and also place, where people can stay on their visit in the village. |
They would like the house also have international connections and guests. |
